Executive Vice President
Garry W. Saunders was most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Melco Crown Entertainment (NASDQ: MPEL) based in Hong Kong/Macao from its 2006 IPO until early 2009. Mr. Saunders oversaw the development of this start‐up entity’s construction and operations within the Macao market, which included the Altira Macao, City of Dreams integrated resort, and eight Mocha Slot Club locations. Prior to working at Melco, Mr. Saunders served as Vice President of International Operations for Las Vegas Sands Corp. from 2004 to 2005, with principal responsibility for its Macao operations during its entry as the first foreign-owned property opening within the market. From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Saunders served as President of Playboy Enterprises Gaming division, and at ITT Corporation as Executive Vice President of the gaming activities of its Sheraton and Caesars World Divisions from 1994 to 1997. In these roles, Mr. Saunders was responsible for the operations of properties, including the development and opening of numerous hotel casino properties, throughout the United States and Canada and various locations in Europe, South America, Australia, Asia and Africa. Previously, Mr. Saunders served as Executive Vice President at the Sands Atlantic City, and a Manager in the Management Advisory Services group in the New York and Morristown office of Price Waterhouse & Co. Mr. Saunders was the Chairman of the Board for Shuffle Master, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHFL), having served as a Director since 2002, until the company was acquired by Bally Technologies, Inc. in 2013.
